Case studies.
Our client identified a high potential senior executive who was on track for promotion to the C-suite. Coaching on executive presence, team succession planning, and Board presentation skills were requested.
ACTION & PROCESS
Coaching work began with a Feedback Report including performance insights from various managers and co-workers. Over a six-month period, coaching sessions occurred every two weeks in person and virtually. Topics covered included effective talent development and recruiting for future succession, managing imposter syndrome, instilling confidence, communicating with influence, owning one’s power, preparing efficiently, addressing Boards impactfully, and building an active, personal Board of Advisors.
RESULTS
The executive experienced and demonstrated greater impact and instilled confidence in others. Feedback from client and managers was that presentations to the Board were stronger, infusing substantive information with appropriate humor and conviction. Executive promoted to C-suite.
To successfully onboard their incoming professionals, our client wanted a virtual training program covering a variety of workplace topics. The professionals were high achievers and located throughout the U.S.
ACTION & PROCESS
Client deliverables included content on effective communication with senior executives, having influence at work as a junior level professional, and networking—all facilitated to ensure high level of engagement and team building amongst the cohort.
RESULTS
Questions were answered and discussions took place throughout the program. Each professional shared which takeaway from the program they would employ during their first six months at the organization. After the program, one-on-one coaching was offered, on any topic covered during the program. Every professional took advantage of the coaching opportunity, and additional follow-up coaching was also engaged. Feedback from participants was unanimously positive.
Our client wanted a high impact program facilitated for women partners and senior associates. Interactivity amongst the lawyers, and practical takeaways from the program were the deliverables.
ACTION & PROCESS
We created a custom-made program on leadership through sponsorship for the partner and associate cohort. Content included the fundamentals of sponsorship relationships in the workplace, and active discussion about what sponsorship behavior looks like at their firm specifically, and what each person would do post program to take action and advance their own careers while supporting others.
RESULTS
Lawyers reported that the program takeaways were pragmatic, doable, and applicable to their work situations, and that this was the most effective program they’ve attended to date. Understanding how the behaviors played out in their context was valuable, as well as knowing what next steps would be taken. The women also engaged with and learned from one another, creating comradery and a powerful network for ongoing support.
